A little bit about myself

Black Rock Kennels is nestled on 5 acres of countryside in Bedford Virginia where the scenery could not be more peaceful as it is beautiful. To the creek in front and mountains to the rear, Black Rock is the perfect place to just set back and relax. My terriers have plenty of room to run as well as clean, safe kennels. All kennels are located right behind my home on cement with a rock wall spanning the entire length of the kennel. Each kennel has a rubber mat for them to walk/stand on so they don't have to stand on the hard cement. Inside my home is a huge indoor dog area with caging units where all terriers are brought in at night to sleep inside their crate.

Each terrier is fed inside and are fed CMF (Chestnut Mountain Feed) Performance blend along with a food supplement that is for dogs in competition. It has lecithin, direct-fed microorganisms and digestive enzymes. Its 80% fat and just the thing for performance terriers. The terriers look great off this combination and the coats are in top shape. It don't take much, all the terriers get between 1 to 1.5 scoops and you can see the scoop is not that big.

Now a bit about myself.  I have been raising Jack Russell Terriers with my parents who are Catawba Mountain Jack Russell Terriers for over 10 years. I am the webmaster for the Virginia Jack Russell Terrier Club as well as designing and maintaining other JRTCA breeders websites. I am also an amateur dog show photographer and many of the photos you find on this site as well and other sites are photos I have taken. I also serve on the board of directors along side my Mom Sandra King who is the 2008/2009 president of the Virginia Jack Russell Terrier Club.

I am continuing on with my own kennel and raising my own bloodline. My foundation bloodlines are Catawba Mountain with the infusion of Sow's Ear, Swift Run as well as Long Creek. I can't thank Becky enough for allowing me to own some outstanding terriers to combine with the Catawba Mountain bloodline.
